A Million Dreams is a recurring youth exchange series that creates safe, meaningful spaces for dialogue, encounter, and shared learning between young people different countries. The project is designed for participants who want to explore Europe’s recent history and present-day realities through personal meetings, facilitated reflection, and collaborative work.
The format typically combines active travel and experiential learning, self-organisation in the group, and regular reflection moments. Participants contribute not only to discussions, but also to the day-to-day group process: decision-making, responsibility-sharing, and mutual support. The project emphasises curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn from people and places along the route.
An important element of the series is documentation and storytelling. Each edition develops its own final output. It can be a digital publication, a multimedia website, a film, a podcast, an exhibition element, or another creative documentation format. This outcome captures the shared experience and makes it accessible beyond the group.
The project is implemented in cooperation with partners in youth exchange and civic education and stands for a clear idea: personal encounters, honest conversation, and the courage to imagine a better tomorrow can keep bridges open – even in difficult times.
