We invite you to an international two-part training programme for youth leaders taking place from 28 August to 4 September 2026 in Hamburg and from 25 September to 2 October 2026 in Haifa.
However: Empower.Engage.Lead. is more than just a typical Juleica training course. It is an opportunity to learn new things, reflect on old ones and work together to create strong spaces for youth work within an international group and context.
Together with our Israeli partner organisations Mabat and Mubadroon, we at AGfJ and MitOst Hamburg train young team members with initial experience to become group leaders, equipping them with the knowledge, methods and mindset to support their participants in shaping their own futures, both at a regional and international level.
Are you ready to join?
You can participate if you …
… are at least 18 years old,
… are a volunteer and active in a youth organisation in Hamburg,
… have some initial experience in leading youth groups,
… are motivated to take part in international exchange and collaborative learning,
… are able to participate in both project phases and
… can communicate in English
Participation fee
The programme is supported by ConAct and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. An application for further funding has been submitted to the German-Israeli Future Fund. Your personal contribution for both parts is €280.
Notice
We work very closely with partners in Israel who are actively committed to fostering understanding and dialogue between different groups in society – particularly between Jewish and Arab Israelis. These perspectives help shape our project and enable us to balance critical reflection with an open exchange that allows space for different opinions, whilst not tolerating any form of anti-Semitism or exclusion.
